March Newsletter 2021 Print

Pikes Peak Periodical

Welcome back, Pikes Peak Chapter!

A year ago we were planning our regularly scheduled March luncheon with no idea what was coming. Unfortunately, we had to cancel that luncheon and so many more after. It's been far too long since we've seen our fellow Chapter members.
We are going to hop right back into where we left off last March with the 2nd topic in our Back to Basics Series.
In true Colorado fashion, our weather has been predictably unpredictable, which means your roof needs to be in tip-top condition.

Weathercraft Roofing will be presenting about ensuring your roof is prepared for the curveballs we know Mother Nature has in store for us and what that means for you as a Facilities Manager.

Join us for a St. Patrick's Day lunch at a NEW LOCATION!
There is also a virtual option for those who do not wish to attend in-person.

We can't wait to see you all!

Back to Basics - 2nd Topic: Roof Maintenance
Presented by: Weathercraft Roofing

We are excited to bring you Part 2 of our Back to Basics Series!
Throughout the year, select luncheons will have topics that cover the basics of facilities management and building systems.

Our topic this month is all about roofing and it's preventative maintenance.
  • What should you know as a Facility Professional responsible for your building roof system?
  • What is the typical life span of a commercial roof? How can you maximize that lifespan?
  • What recommended preventative maintenance should you be doing on an annual basis?
  • What are the components of a roof that you should understand and be familiar with?
  • What are the roof types available and what is recommended for our environment?
  • What are the current trends in roofing?
  • Can you really save energy with a specific roof type?

Even if you are well-versed in roofing, join us for a refresher, learn what's trending, and get some questions answered. Also consider inviting members of your team that could benefit from learning more about this aspect of Facility Management.
