Topic: School District 49 - Talent Development
Presented By: Bob Gemignani

Bob Gemignani serves as the Workplace Learning Manager in School District 49. He applies 25 years of business development experience, combined with 5 years of workforce development experience, to inform development and improvement of a district-wide program designed to connect local industry and businesses with the K-12 talent development pipeline. He has been a Colorado Springs resident since 1991 and is very passionate about creating an environment of economic vitality in our community.

High School occupational and vocational training is roaring back at School District 49! We are designing instruction and occupational training programs in collaboration with our business partners to insure connection to job-ready, School District 49 talent! D49's Career and Technical Education Academies include real-world, demand-driven training and instruction in industries such as healthcare, technology, construction and culinary, just to name a few.

Gone are the days of reactionary hiring. A deep, qualified talent pool just does not exist in many industry sectors. Most successful businesses are cultivating a talent pipeline beginning at the secondary education level. We can help you make this connection at School District 49!

We are always in search of businesses and trade organizations who are interested in helping design a career pathway into your industry. If you are interested in setting up a talent pipeline with D49, would like to open your business to industry-specific internship experiences, or would like to learn more about how to design effective pre-apprenticeships and/or apprenticeships to attract talent to your business, let's have a chat!
